Welcome to St. James Osteopathy from the practices' principle Osteopath, Andrew Wade.
St. James Osteopathy is located in Longton, one of the six towns that make up Stoke on Trent and it is also Andrews' home town.
Andrew is a graduate of the 5 year part-time Bachelor of Osteopathy programme offered by the College of Osteopaths at Staffordshire university. As part of his training, Andrew had to complete a minimum of 1200 hours in the clinical environment treating conditions like frozen shoulders, tennis elbow, sciatica, low back pain, hip pain and knee pain before being able to qualify as an Osteopath. Andrew is currently registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
Andrew decided to re-train as an Osteopath after a 20 year career as a HGV driver had left him with poor posture, chronic low back pain and neck pain that required the services of an Osteopath to help Andrew to return to work and to get him back into the saddle of his mountain bike again. It was this experience of receiving Osteopathic treatment that Andrew decided to re-train as an Osteopath.
Away from the clinic, Andrew enjoys many varied activities including mountain biking, golf, swimming, suspension training and yoga. Andrew and his partner find themselves the servants of two rescued ex-racing greyhounds and together they enjoy many hours of pack time in the great outdoors.
